While there are certainly perks to living in a seasonless city, there are a few pitfalls, such as falling into a state of semi-depression when the temperature drops below (gasp!) 70 degrees. While L.A. weather may be less than beach-friendly this time of year, midday sunshine still provides moments of hope (and warmth), which is why layering is absolutely necessary.
One label that understands our city's cold weather style conundrum is Kain—an LA-based line founded in 2008 by sisters Amanda and Melanie Kain. Their lightweight basics are effortlessly cool, insanely comfortable, and ideal for layering, which is why we're currently loading up on all of their long-sleeved offerings in preparation for obligatory holiday hibernation.
