VENICE—The LA city council has passed a new ordinance on what can and cannot be sold on the Venice boardwalk. Now banned are "housewares, appliances, articles of clothing, sunglasses, auto parts, oils, incense, perfume, crystals, lotions, candles, jewelry, toys and stuffed animals." Still okay are arty items and tchotkes like "books, audio, video, paintings, photographs, prints [and] sculptures." [Curbed]
HOLLYWOOD—Bring old sweaters and other gently-used items of clothing to Space 15 Twenty tomorrow at 7pm for a massive swap meet. RSVP to jackie@fidoo.com to attend; clothes that aren't claimed by the end of the event will be donated to the Los Angeles Youth Foundation. [Racked Inbox]
