No Fur For You

Last night the proposed West Hollywood fur ban was voted into action. According to LAist, "The ban does not touch the sale of used clothing privately. Pawn shops and nonprofits like thrift shops will be permitted to sell said products." West Hollywood is the first city in the US to ban the sale of fur. The law won't go into effect until 2013, so you have more than a year to stock up if fur coats are your thing. [LAist; Previously]
