Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We've always been intrigued by interior designer Kelly Wearstler. There's her impressive resume—which includes the interiors for Viceroy hotels, a clothing and jewelry line, three books, bedding for Sferra and rugs for The Rug Company—her talent for mixing colors, patterns and objects, and of course, her always unconventional hairstyles. She's like the cool, offbeat Rachel Zoe of design.
This week Wearstler adds another project to her already full plate: a new boutique on Melrose Avenue, of which she just blogged and Facebooked some pre-opening photos. See it all come together in the above gallery and stop by the store, which is open now, for the finished product.
