In the Times new mall issue, fashion critic Booth Moore parses the appeal of the Beverly Center. "Unlike any other mall, the Beverly Center is a microcosm of the state of fashion and culture today," she writes, citing the mall's mix of luxury with cheap chic, which is "indicative of today's high-low approach to shopping and getting dressed."
