Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It seems that just as quickly as retailers left Robertson Blvd. earlier this year, blue-chip merchants are filing in to take their places. We were in the neighborhood, and peered in the glitzy Michael Kors window to see the team putting the finishing touches on this shiny new shop. It's in the former space of Robert Clergerie (the shoe shop bailed for the greener pastures of Beverly Hills). Among other big changes: Lululemon taking the place of disgraced denim hawkers Rock & Republic. Of course, Monika Chiang opened last month, Make Up For Ever will open on Friday and Rebecca Taylor will open on November 18. We'll have previews for those two soon, but in the meantime, happy shopping!
