Here at Racked LA, we're constantly having discussions about "It" bags—or rather, the current lack thereof. Really, has there been an It bag the past few seasons? You know, one that everybody carries and wants and is sold out everywhere? We say no.
But that does not mean that you still don't need a cool bag, just that now is the time to really explore some unique new designers. We present Leoluca, a San Diego-based design duo that sources all its materials and labor within the United States. The fall/winter collection features four leather styles—a tote, a shoulder bag, a cross-body bag and an envelope clutch. Details we like include ostrich embossing, silk interior linings, just enough studs to be interesting without going over the top and removable chain straps. Prices are reasonable, ranging from $229 to $449. The color palette features black, white and cream, so these are definitely bags you'll hang onto for a few years. Even after the next It bag surfaces.
