We had the pleasure of taking a leisurely stroll through The Annex, the new spot Geren Ford created as a hub for her business (wholesale with a little retail action, to boot), and the the things she loves -- namely, art, interesting artifacts, good food and parties. The space is still a work in progress, but visitors can get a peek into her design space, showroom and an awesome little retail galley that features her clothing and some oddball (and fabulous) finds.
Geren's got big things planned for the space: There's a massive hall in the back that will eventually be available for parties of any kind. She'll rotate out the art, and she'll bring in a host of special guests for events -- since entertaining is a passion for her, there'll be mixologists, cooks (or whatever fancy thing they're calling themselves these days), and probably a few surprises. Oh, and of course there will be shopping. Right now, it's on a by-appointment basis, but in the very near future, the space will be open for retail one weekend a month.
She's kicking it all off with an Open House Saturday afternoon. We told you about it yesterday: shopping, dancing, tacos by hot-hot-hot Escuela, and couture chocolate from Vosges. If you'd like to go and check it out (highly recommended), send let 'em know at email@example.com. The Annex is located at 1034 Seward, in Hollywood.
