J. Crew Goes Hollywood, Gets Told to Go Home

The catalog that almost wasn't: apparently, the J. Crew folks were minding their own business, shooting the models for the February catalog, right on the Hollywood sign in when all of the sudden, a brigade of angry, shouty firefighters and the flying news circus rained down on them. It turns out, J. Crew had totally done all their permit-procuring by the books, but since the authorities are so used to trespassers, they assumed the models were a bunch of ne'er do wells. The only crime that was committed was those chartreuse shorts for $400. [Curbed]
