DOWNTOWN—To hell with Sunset Junction! Go check out the block party at the Old Bank District on Saturday. It's FREE, for one thing. Music performances from all kinds of bands, including SJ alum Very Be Careful and Helen Stellar, food, art, and drinks, Saturday from 4pm to 1am. SANTA MONICA—If you're a Lost fan, or just interested in a good spectacle, the auction at the Barker Hangar is a can't-miss. It's supposed to be a big, huge deal -- a happening, really, with photo opps and auctions for vast amounts of stuff from the show, including Hurley's Camaro, Dharma beer, costumes, and pieces of the set. NEWPORT BEACH—Like costumes and tennis? How about playing tennis in a costume, for a worthy cause? Register now for the 12th annual Wood Racquet Classic in Newport Beach.
