Rebecca Minkoff made a personal appearance at the Santa Monica Place Bloomingdale's, showing off her beautiful fall handbags. Named after love and all things related, inspired by a recent trip to Paris, Minkoff's current collection is a breath of fresh air that manages to be playful, fun and girly -- all without trying too hard.
The affable and hands-on designer presented warm fall colors and python prints,
matched with her stable of hardware ranging from an antique brass, gunmetal, to
your standard golds and silvers. In her own words, the bags are "utilitarian with an
edge," meant to go from day to night, including a touch of "whimsical and fun." The
Bloomingdale's collection showcased the BF bag (nice croc print and color choices), the
Mac clutch (loving the red), and awesome 3 Zip Rockers.
When asked which was her favorite of the season, Minkoff laughed and compared it
to picking a favorite child-- but when pressed, she grabbed one of her originals, the
glamorously large Morning After bag. For only $525, this is one piece that eliminates
the Shame from any Walk a lady may make after a night on the town.
Now hurry up and release your men's line, Rebecca, we can barely wait! (Text and photos by Sina Grace)
