Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Until the end of the week, the Steven Alan Outpost is offering an additional 25% off on the already-reduced prices in the sale section. The deals are usually terrific, so we decided to scope it out and report back to you on whether or not the sale merits the drive.
We found better deals -- or rather, better items -- for the men-folk. Nice Rogan tees for $45 (less 25%, bringing your final cost to around?err, $34ish?), Acne tees for about $42, and a Rag & Bone henley for $49. Some lucky dude is going to score a beautiful Rag & Bone linen jacket for $209.
We weren't quite as smitten with the women's offerings. A few, totally season-inappropriate T by Alexander Wang sweatshirts and sweatpants for $59, boxy Acne tees, a couple of Geren Ford frocks, and shoes by LD Tuttle. A totally unscientific sampling reveals that the selection is available in smaller sizes only.
The additional discount is also good for their online sale, but that's not quite as much fun, as it?
