Trader Joe's Expansion Done; Parking Paranoia Mounts

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We swung by the newly expanded Trader Joe's on Hyperion this weekend. If you're a wine and cheese person, you'll be pleased: these two areas had been noticeably bulked up. We didn't do a full-on critical examination of the store, but we couldn't find much of a difference, otherwise. Locals are already starting to worry about the parking situation, which may remain status quo. (The wee-little lot is already adequate to provide for the store, or so says LA municipal code.) The Curbed community has a host of good ideas (and a little vitriol) for dealing with the imminent clusterfuck. Our favorite being the jetpack, of course. [Curbed LA]
