First up was news that Chanel bags are (speculated by very educated insiders) to go up 20%. Why? Because it's Chanel, dahhling, and they want to attain that much more exclusivity. Closer to home (both geographically and ideologically) is the news that 99 Cents Only stores were just slapped with a class action lawsuit, regarding them raising their prices a fraction of a cent. By consumers (and lawyers) who obviously don't seem to care that frivolous lawsuits actually jack up the price of doing business. We ain't afraid to say it: we heart 99 Cents Only and hope they come out on top. [Racked NY; LA Times]
