There's a New Flea Market in Town

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Move over, Rose Bowl, the LA Flea Market has its inaugural event this Sunday, at Dodger Stadium. Why we think it's going to be great: it's the brainchild of Philip Dane, the guy behind the Fairfax Trading Post; the event will be served by a full armada of food trucks; 500 vendors; and it will kick off with the Hollywood Yard Sale, with high-end merch donated by the likes of Jay Leno and Michael Jordan. (Not that we're keen on raiding either one of their closets. Leno's garage, maybe, but definitely not his closet.) Basically, it sounds like a great time. We have a pair of tickets to give away, via the Racked LA newsletter, later this evening.
