Last night's party to launch Mark "Cobrasnake" Hunter's Cobrashop was so much sensory overload, so many wild colors, so much of everything, it could camouflage Katy Perry. There was a rumor she was there, but who could tell? The shop, located on the 4th floor of the Hollywood & Highland complex, doesn't open for reals until June 16, but Mark and some of his famous friends threw a party and previewed some of the wares. It's a wild hodgepodge of thrifted, kitschy items (read: crap), ultra-rare (and in many cases, sold out) items from the back catalogs of Jeremy Scott and Shepard Fairey, pieces from the Cobrasnake X RVCA line, and probably a lot of surprises. Besides being a store, the Cobrashop will function as a clubhouse where films will be screened, bands will be rocked to, and many beers will be drunk. We predict it will be the summer of 100 million snapshots: the Cobrashop will run through the end of September.
