New Health Food Store Sprouts Up in Culver City

It's a little weird to see new health food store Sprouts inhabiting an old (but still clearly identifiable) Circuit City shell. It makes a subtle suggestion that the health food is high-tech and scientific, and gives you all those other associations you probably don't want to have with your organics. The store sounds nice (except for "the most depressing interior atmosphere of any grocery store outside the deep south").

It may be a new entry to the LA market, but the chain has close ties to the Henry's chain—depressing, fake rustic log cabin in the woods vibe, for sure, but good produce at low prices.
