The only US Paul & Joe outpost opened late last month, and we dropped by over the weekend to have a look. It's a slightly kooky, whimsical store befitting the playful French brand. The store carries Paul & Joe, Paul & Joe Sister, Little Paul & Joe, and the beauty collection. (Through sadly, they're out of many of the creme colors.) There's also an animal motif going on: cats, everywhere, is a given. (The clerk explained that feline-loving Sophie Albou is actually allergic to cats and therefore can't have them, which is why they grace so many things in her collections.) But there are also lots of owls, a huge stuffed llama, and a chair made out of stuffed animals. (We wonder if these will furnish that new hotel the brand is opening.) And if you need an additional reason to pay a visit, as we were leaving, they were in the process of putting up a 30% off sale.
