There's been a big resurgence in the art and craft of manly grooming -- maybe it's the pendulum swinging back in the opposite direction of emo-hair and guyliner, but straight-razor shaves, traditional barbering and masculine products are getting their due and (we hope, we hope, we hope) ushering in a new era of manliness. Enter Baxter Finley Barber & Shop, a barber emporium setting up shop just up the street from Opening Ceremony on La Cienega. They only do two things: shearing and shaving. Either for $40, or both for $75. And the barbers are all nattily attired in handsome, checked shirts from Steven Alan. It's only the menu that's no frills—Baxter Finley is pretty big on style. They're open Tuesday though Sunday; why not take Dad down and buy him a nice shave with a straight razor for Father's Day?
