When the Neiman Marcus Last Call opened up at The Block at Orange last year, we hoped it might be the first of a few more adult-oriented shops at the shopping and entertainment complex. Not so much. The latest jewel in the teeny-bopper mall's crown is the H&M that just opened last Thursday. We know H&Ms tend to be very by-the-numbers affairs, but we decided to check it out. Ahem, since we were already there, scoping on the Last Call 30% off sale.
It's big (duh), and it has the whole "circle of life" covered: kids, maternity, teens, men's women's. We guess they tailor the exact inventory to the area; we were bummed that this location had so much emphasis on the basics (tees, jeans, accessories, leggings). Since one of the fun things about stores like H&M is you can push your fashion comfort zone in a low impact way by picking up some insane little something that you normally wouldn't wear, for cheap. This H&M had a few pieces from the Garden Collection—sorry, none of the rosette pieces. This store also boasted an alarmingly large collection of jeggings for girls and tweens. And, in general, some of the weirdest styling we've seen. (Check out a few of the shots in the gallery.)
