We stopped by 3020 Designer Resale to check out the 50% off sale that runs through Saturday, which is sort of like a doubleplus discount once all the price slashing is over. The half-off items are in a small back room that isn't immediately apparent, so don't hesitate to ask for directions from Gina, probably the most friendly boutique owner ever. Plus, she spent over 20 years doing costume design and styling work in both NYC and LA, so she definitely knows her stuff. The well-edited items in the shop look brand new (some of them actually are), to the point where we seriously forgot we were in a resale boutique. It also helps that everything is dry-cleaned before it hits the floor.
Just on our casual perusal of the racks (both sale and "regular" priced), we found some $50 cropped leather Ya-ya jackets, brand new Mason blazers (with the $359 tag still attached) for $40, a long-sleeved Theory tee for $10, some cuffed khaki Trina Turk shorts for $59, a black Michael Michael Kors shift dress for $92, a black and blue Nicole Miller dress for $62, a gray lacey-cutout Gold Hawk dress for $98, some Paul & Joe Sister dresses for $123 and $115, a Catherine Malandrino dress for $98 and a Trina Turk dress for $67. On the shoe shelves, we found Ungaro pumps for $52, Miu Miu gray shearling boots for $480, unworn-looking Gucci toggle clasp boots for $784, Miss Sixty denim cutout boots for $123, unworn black velvet Prada heels for $88, and those furry purple Moschino boots for $374.
The sale runs today from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 11am to 4pm. The address is pretty easy: 3020 Nebraska Ave. (Get it?)
