Part giftshop, part art gallery, part rustic log cabin in the woods (on an acid trip): Los Angeles, I'm Yours is the show/shop curated by Poketo and Kitsune Noir that's currently holding court at Space 15 Twenty. The art gallery has been taken over and turned into what looks like the coolest pawnshop on the planet. It's filled with whimsically reappropriated knickknacks—like the boombox painted with clouds—and unique trinkets painted or repurposed into something new. The list of contributors is amazing: in addition to artists like Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, and Florencio Zavala, the gallery has work from playwright Neil LaBute and Jason Schwartzman. And everything's for sale (we think). So if you've got a really cool mom who's over flowers and bundt cakes and the usual Mother's Day fare, this just might be your answer. The show runs until May 15th.
