We went to a party at a boutique last week, and our discovery of Allison Parris' line pretty much eclipsed everything else of the evening. Parris offers a selection of tamer, daytime looks, too, but these special occasion pieces are what we're lusting after. They're whimsical and a few of the pieces border on being costumey (e.g. the tulle miniskirt is pretty much a tutu), but they're wearable and flattering. We've been told the white number with the feathers has been selling well as a wedding dress, but we can see it worn to a daytime party, too. The collection is available at Church, Tiziana, and Fred Segal Emphatic.
