There's a whole lot of URBN at the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center. Joining the existing Free People and the recently opened Anthropologie is a brand new Urban Outfitters. (And for what it's worth, the Nordstrom Rack across the street is well-stocked with Free People and Leifsdotter.) It's pretty. It has that "new car" smell. No real surprises: they're carrying the standard house brands like Kimchee Blue and Silence & Noise, but we didn't see any of their specialty labels like Hawks by Geren Ford, Lark & Wolff by Steven Alan, Reformed or Curatorial. In addition, they're stocking the usual suspects for men, and a fair selection of tsotchkes and, uh?crap. Like a liquor decanter where the liquor was dispensed in a stream so it basically looked like a little kid taking a whiz. Classy! This new Urban also comes equipped with a sale room and politer than average employees. This is only part of the youthquake at Topanga Westfield: a Tilly's just opened up, too.
