SANTA MONICA—This Thursday, Fred Segal is throwing a party for a brand new collection from New Balance. It sounds like they hired rocket scientists to make these shoes: they employ a process called sonic welding. So much science! What you need to know is that the process is less wasteful, more eco-friendly. And the party includes a special art installation, cocktails, appetizers and a DJ. Party is from 7pm to 10pm; RSVP to Cara@RedLightPR.com.500 Broadway [Racked Inbox]
CHINATOWN—Keep Company is having a sample sale at their offices. In addition to true, one-of-a-kind samples, they're also blowing out shoes (up to 60% off) from recent seasons. The sale is Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 6pm. 418A Bamboo Lane [Racked Inbox]
