WEST 3RD STREET—One more reminder about the Trina Turk vintage sale at the designer's boutique on Thursday. She's done the hard work so you don't have to; and the merchandise is all priced right, going for $28 to $298. And later in the evening (6pm to 9pm), the store is featuring a 20% off shopping event (sorry, regular merchandise only). Can't make it to the store? Take advantage of the discount online, from 5pm to 9pm (PST) 8008 W. 3rd St. [Racked Inbox]
WEST 3RD STREET—Time for another fabulous art opening at EM & Co. How about AVANT-ODD: Fashion Sketches by Justin John Greene. This sounds pretty trippy (and we mean that in the good way). According to the press release, the artist "combines elements of couture fashion sketching with a sense of the grotesque, in order to create an uneasy balance or expectations; a more complex notion of beauty." Should be very interesting. The party is from 7pm to 10pm; with DJ Gabriel Diggs and cocktails and appetizers. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org 7940 W. 3rd St. [Racked Inbox]
YOUR COMPUTER—We're telling you about this know in case you need to adjust, or cancel, any plans that might keep you out late on Thursday night: the Outnet's $1 sale starts Friday morning. Probably pretty early in the AM, too. At this point, it looks like it's only available to previously registered users (boo), but if you're one of them, plan accordingly. [The Outnet]
FASHION ISLAND—Fluxus enters the fray at Fashion Island on Friday. Wow, too much alliteration. The edgy knitware brand joins some good OC company, as the new Fashion Island Nordstrom also opens the same day, and Prada premiers at South Coast Plaza next week. (!!!!!) [Racked Inbox]
