Manifest Equality Unites Art, Fashion, Music and Cause

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Though it wrapped up over the weekend (sorry, Monday was a busy news day), the Manifest Equality event is still pretty newsworthy: Yes, please, to more events at the abandoned Big Lots on Vine and Lexington. We checked out the art, and the art appreciators, on the final day of the event. A remarkably fashionable crowd was on hand, ogling, mugging for the cameras, buying prints in the gift shop, and doing a small part to repeal Proposition 8. There were some really amazing prints and gifts for sale in the giftshop; we've heard it will all be available online, and we'll keep you posted.
