Over the weekend, we dropped by the H&M at Sunset Plaza to see how the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M collection was moving. It wasn't. The inventory barely seemed to have a dent in it. It looked like every item was available, in every size; tipsters have told us they're also seeing slow sales at the Bev Center and Glendale locations. We can't help but wonder if this is a distinctly East Coast vs. West Coast thing: while we keep hearing reports about how the line flew off the shelves in New York and Europe, it barely seems to have moved at all here in LA. Conversely, the Jimmy Choo for H&M line inspired near hysteria on the West Coast; while reports indicated it was popular in NY, it didn't sell out in the first hours, like many of the pieces did here in LA. The Sonia Rykiel pour H&M line is cute, and at least as well-made as the Jimmy Choo stuff. So why aren't you buying it?
