HOLLYWOOD—There's a brand new farmers market that offers shoppers a great selection of locally grown fruits and veggies, gourmet items, booze, Bulgarini Gelato and the most spectacular view of Los Angeles: the Yamashiro Garden Market, on the grounds of the restaurant perched high above Franklin. The market is held from 5pm to 9pm each Thursday. 1999 N. Sycamore Ave. [Racked Inbox]
THIRD STREET—Tomorrow night, EM & Co is holding a reception/party for Cris Orfescu and his NANOART exhibit. The name refers to a concept explored by the artist: it's the transition of science through art by technology. In addition to art, there's music from DJ Gabriel Diggs, lite bites, beer, and cocktails. Party runs from 7 - 10pm, but the exhibit will be up until February 9. 7940 W. 3rd Street (323-782-8155) [Racked Inbox]
VENICE—Holy carp, the last couple of days have been frosty! Australia Luxe Collective is having another sample sale, so it's time to treat yourself to some footwear that will keep you warm and transition nicely to sunnier weather. Prices ranging from $50-$175 on shoes that normally go from $150-$450. Sale starts Friday (2pm to 8pm) and ends on Saturday (9am to 6pm). It's at 514 Victoria Ave. (310-578-6360) [Racked Inbox]
