What's New For Spring at Local Collection

New, 3 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Local Collection is the unique concept store in the Glendale Galleria with an inventory that's hand-picked to showcase some of the best, brightest, and bubbling under the radar local designers, many of whom have sustainable and eco-friendly offerings. They finished up their first successful season, and invited us to preview some of the new merchandise and designers who'll be gracing the store this spring. We're bummed that we didn't get to see the latest from Rojas, but we did catch a dozen or so designers, including statement-making jewelry and accessories by Cole Designs, Ever Originals, Flea Market Girl, and Sweet Evie; beauty and bath products by Tropical Bomb, Herban, and Serah's Soaps; clothing by Blue Platypus and Who's Little?; fabulous felt handbags and housewares by Graf and Lantz; and art by Julie Nutting and Marhak. The thing we loved about this event was that, unlike traditional fashion shows, much of the merchandise is already available for purchase.
