BEVERLY CENTER—It's apparently TV night at the Beverly Center: Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant will be gracing the Center to sign copies of her book, The Fashion File. BEVERLY BLVD.—Speaking of Mad Men, if Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce had been around in the computer age, doubtless the designers would have gone nuts for House Industries, the fonthouse that's made a name for itself with whimsical type, graphics, and artfully crafted packaging. They're doing a very special collaboration with Heath Ceramics: House will transform the legendary tile and tableware maker’s airy Beverly Boulevard space into an unprecedented emulsion of clay, metal, ink, cotton, wood, lacquer, lithography and letterforms.
