Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We don't know which part of the following made us sadder for humanity: our friends at Eater forwarded an email yesterday from someone looking for help casting a "fat and fabulous" reality TV show in LA. And we quote "now casting the hottest, most bodacious, voluptuous single women who are in LOS ANGELES only, at least 21 years old and appear younger than 35 to represent the BBW's in a brand new docu-series that will show a long-awaited glimpse into the ultra-fab world of big girls!" Yeah, bad, right? But what's worse is that the casting director wanted Eater to run it. Since all BBWs are chowhounds and hang out on the foodblogs. **facepalm** [Racked inbox]
