- Ohh, scary! Brett Westfall's Unholy Matrimony
- The work of Michael Shields
- Chelsea Rebelle. The silver sparkly one is apparently a favorite of Kelly Osbourne's.
- Loving this cropped tank by Natalia Romano
- A pair of boots by Penelope and Coco
- Can you believe this was designed by someone who has a line called Unholy Matrimony?
Meet the Public, operated and curated by Fashion LA, is a great tweak on one of our favorite formulas: a mixed-use space where fashion, art, jewelry and furnishing exist side by side and commingle to the point where it seems like the whole thing is an art exhibit. The popup was created, primarily, as a way to present LA designers, labels and artists to press and buyers -- but don't worry, there's plenty of retail.
MTP houses a broad selection of wares, including men's and women's clothing, shoes, books, art, beauty products, magazines and furnishings. You probably already know a few of the labels and brands: Taschen, Flaunt Magazine, Laugh Cry Repeat by Anzvino and Florence, and Chelsea Rebelle. The Two Point Oh folks have gone out of their way to fill the shop up with surprises (a sweetly goofy line of tees from Case Study mastermind Brett Westfall, dramatic dresses from Natalia Romano and Penelope and Coco, a shoe line designed by a 19-year-old who is apparently talented beyond her years).
Sadly, the concept is just too beautiful for this world, and the popup will only be around for another few days. They're having a party tomorrow night, so check back with RackedWire later in the day.
