The Fred Segal/Ron Herman sale started on Friday, and it's chugging along at an amiable pace. There's a good collection of clothing and shoes priced at 50% off. Of course, in the first few days, it's hard to get too frenzied, since the discounts deepen as the sale goes on.
Not all the merchandise in every department is on sale. For instance, sadly, our Valentino rain boots aren't even on display. But the shoe department offered half-priced Loubs, YSLs, Giuessep Zanottis, plastic fantastic Melissas, Pradas, and more. The downstairs offerings included Elizabeth and James, Alexander Wang, Of Two Minds, L'Agence, S.W.O.R.D., and a ton of tees by Kane, Ella Moss, Splendid, T by Alexander Wang. The higher-end upstairs selection already seemed a bit picked-over, but there were a few pretty pieces by Proenza Schouler, Ann Demeulemeester, Giambattista Valli and Maison Martin Margiela. For the guys?sorry, dudes, it looks like rows and rows of Free City and a few very expensive t-shirts.
For what it's worth, we're going to wait it out until the sale hits 75% off. There is some good stuff there now -- the T by Alexander Wang bras probably won't last, nor will the Erin Wasson X RVCA. We'll keep you updated on the discounts and the merchandise.
