Although Santa Monica Place itself opened in August, the stores are still popping up one at a time. Good news for your friends and bad news for your credit cards, another crop should be open just in time for holiday shopping. Kenneth Cole is coming on the lower level near Bloomingdale's and CB2, the company's third Los Angeles shop. Wesc should be opening this month on the second level near Tous—and the escalators—which would be their second free-standing boutique in LA, making our city the only metropolis so blessed as to have more than one. Also opening this month is the G Star Raw shop on the lower level near Louis Vuitton and 7 for all Mankind, the second LA location for the denim brand.
In the second-level quiet corner near Nordstrom, a Tokidoki is posed to open in time for the holidays, as well as a Kitson Kids. The Santa Monica location is the second LA one for the Japanese novelty brand, and the new Kitson store for pint-sized fans will free up valuable sales areas in the adult space at the other end of the mall. Still no word on whether they will ever close their janky outlet on the Promenade.
