Karen Millen in Century City

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Icelandic designer Karen Millen is opening her second Los Angeles boutique at the Westfield Century City mall, located in the corner right next to fellow European store, H&M. (The other Millen store is at the Beverly Center.) The high-end, minimalist, well-tailored looks the brand specializes in are enjoying a trend resurgence right now, although we doubt too much H&M traffic will divert into Karen Millen. With a November open date, we expect the store to be in full operation just in time for holiday shopping—although you might need an employee discount in order to buy too many pieces for friends and family.
