Big, Unfortunate Trend of the Day: Death

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's all too much, isn't it? First it was the death of JD Salinger. Next, it was Howard Zinn. Great guys, really, but the things that hit closer to home: Juicy Couture as we've known it is probably done, since Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy decided to leave. And indie-film powerhouse Miramax is dunzo, as of today. (Which is really tragic. Is it bad for us to wonder if that will affect Marchesa?) People and businesses, stop dying already!
