LA Eyeworks' Eye-popping Blowout Sale

When we heard LA Eyeworks was having a jaw-dropping blowout sale with frames under $50, we had to get over there ASAP. The sale is only at the Beverly Boulevard location, but it's not due to a lack of selection. The store set up a long, long table full of frames that stretches from the door all the way to the back sales counter. Prices range from $40 to $200, with frames for men and women in a rainbow of colors and shapes. We saw both metal and plastic frames, from tiny cat-eyes to large square shapes to funky poindexter looks, even some with jagged edges. There were clear lucite frames, schoolbus yellow frames, lime green frames and fire engine red frames. Everything contains tinted sun lenses, although the store staff is more than happy to pop them out so you can see how the frames would look with a clear prescription lens in them. If you're in the market for a new pair of ophthalmic glasses, bring your prescription with you, and the store can fit your new discount frames with quality lenses if you so desire.

Everything for sale is already out on the table, and once it's gone... well, you know the drill. The sale runs through Sunday. If you're in the market for a pair of green-and-black striped glasses, this is the place. If you want something in a normal color, well, we can't help you.
