Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We're not sure when or why, but it looks like Melrose Ave's Xin boutique—a hybrid boutique/art gallery known for its flirty, punchy-hued frocks—appears to have shuttered recently. We passed by last week to find that the shop is vacant, and although the website is still running, the phone number has been disconnected and an e-mail sent on Friday morning remains unanswered. We're hoping for the best—a renovation of the space, perhaps, or a relocation to a different part of town—but so far, have no concrete evidence either way. Have some intel? Take it to the comments!
