55DSL, the scrappy streetwear counterpart to Diesel, is turning 15 this year—and it's taking over its big brother's house (er, retail space) to celebrate. Actually, 15 Diesel stores nationwide will be affected by the hijack, including those at the Beverly Center and Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. For just 15 days (September 15-30), these shop-in-shops will be carrying 15 key pieces from 55DSL's fall 2009 menswear collection, including a limited-edition sneaker in collaboration with Adidas Originals (the first ever 55DSL shoe), and a series of t-shirts whose graphics sprung from the pens of five different graphic artists (Antonio Lopez, David B. Mattingly, Franco Chiani, Mauro Gatti and Philipp Dornbierer, for those who are up on the graphic arts world). Pretty major, as Quinceañeros go.
