After realizing yesterday that New High (M)art's Chinatown location had been closed since May, we called the shop known for its rotating fashion exhibitions to inquire about when and where their new location would open. While they didn't get back to us, they did get back to All The Rage, who reports that the new Los Feliz location on Vermont Ave is now officially open. The store contains designs by former solo exhibition stars—Alex & Chloe, Grey Ant, Brian Lichtenberg—as well as brand new apparel and accessories from exotic locations around the world. Although a portion of the store will maintain a permanent collection of staple labels, another will continue to morph based on thematic whim. The first theme is a curated dollar store, and plays on the idea that you can take the store out of Chinatown, but you can't take Chinatown out of the store. The new addition we're most excited about? Being able to park our car in the store lot, which was always problematic at the Chinatown location.
