Our friends over at Racked NY are currently in the thick of New York Fashion Week, and we'll be posting some highlights of their coverage. This time around: goddess dresses from Diane von Furstenberg.

Show location: The Tent at Bryant Park
The skinny: Romantic, flattering, bold pieces from the queen of fashion people actually wear
Celebs spotted: Pat Field, Rachel Zoe, Zoe's assistant Brad, Blake Lively, Michelle Trachtenberg, Joe Zee, Candace Bergen, Estelle, Andre Leon Talley, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld
The takeaway: Very Greco-Roman, but with the same intense color scheme as the fall 2009 "nomad" collection—like the Greeks colonizing Asia Minor. Which they did, so it's historically accurate!

3:40pm: There's an image of an ancient-looking stone arch and palm trees on a screen at the end of the runway.

3:41pm: And the runway itself looks like its made of stone slabs.

3:45pm: Lots of wrap dresses in here.

3:48pm: First sighting: Pat Field

3:58pm: CNN jus tasked us to move so they could shoot Pat Field. What, just cause they're an international news network they think they're better than us?

4:12pm: Rachel Zoe is here with Brad. Also Blake Lively.

4:15pm: Michelle Trachtenberg, Joe Zee, Candace Bergen. Rumors of Diana Ross

4:16pm: Lynn Yaeger spotting! And once again we are next to a small child.

4:17pm: Woman with child is explaining who Rachel Zoe is. A teachable moment! "She makes a living just shopping and buying clothes."

4:22pm: This is a mob scene!

4:26pm: Estelle is here. She's everywhere.

4:26pm: Someone is shushing us.

4:28pm: Starting w/ Madonna "Erotic"

4:30pm: Models have gold laurel leaves in their hair

4:30pm: Lovely leafy green print

4:32pm: Everything is very goddessy. Except for rockstar furry white coat.

4:35pm: Same rich colors as last year's nomads

4:37pm: It's over. Diane von Furstenberg now walking the runway to major applause.

4:39pm: Getting out of here is going to be a nightmare.
