Our friends over at Racked NY are currently in the thick of New York Fashion Week, and we'll be posting some highlights of their coverage. This time around: Quintessential New York style from Donna Karan.
Show location: Greenwich Street, West Village
The skinny: Practical clothing for the fashionable New Yorker
Celebs spotted: Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Rachel Zoe
The takeaway: Clothes we wish we could wear to work everyday. Lots of whites and greys in the form of feminine skirts, flowy dresses, and pantsuits.
2:08pm: Rachel Zoe is here! Everyone is wearing black.
2:10pm: Spotted Grace Coddington and someone walking in with their own camera and sound crew—from a reality show?
2:12pm: Anna Wintour! And the show is staring. The curtain's down and people are shushing each other.
2:32pm Lots of hats on models and disco-y music. I see a lot of whites and beiges in the collection.
2:34pm: Swishy orange dress. It got darker and Anna left her seat.
2:38pm: The models are coming down the runway. It's over.
