Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
ONLINE: Libertine designer Johnson Hartig has created a short film in which to showcase his Spring 2010 collection—and while that's nothing new, we were intrigued by his description of the road trip that inspired it. The LA-based talent tells Style.com that he recently stayed in a haunted hotel in Death Valley with Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, during which he "became a believer in orbs." We don't really get how that translates to the video above (save for the orderly circle pattern on many of the pieces), but we like the clothes nonetheless. [Style.com]
MELROSE AVE: Late breaking Fashion's Night Out news from Blackburn and Sweetzer—Max & Co (6pm-10pm), Marc by Marc Jacobs and Herve Leger (8pm-11pm) have all decided to stay open late tonight for the festivities. All are located on Melrose just East of La Cienega, and while we don't think they'll have anything as amazing as Pete Wentz playing Guess Who (for that, you'll need to go to Ron Herman), we're sure there will be some drinks involved.
