With exactly one year to go until the Santa Monica Place mall's big reveal, developer Macerich has announced that five new retailers have laid claim to spaces within. The biggest names, by far, are Michael Kors and Swarovski, which will be joined by the second LA outpost of British brand Ted Baker (the other shop is located on Robertson Blvd).
The mall has also signed on two local retailers with locations throughout the area—Angl, which the press release describes as "a collection of trend-forward fashion and accessories for young women", and Bernini, which specializes in menswear and fragrance. The new arrivals will join brands like Ed Hardy, Kitson and True Religion, offering further proof of a mix that will go down well with the Santa Monica tourist crowd.
