Launches and Releases: The Zoe Report Hits Inboxes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

As we mentioned yesterday, today's the day that Rachel Zoe's new e-newsletter, The Zoe Report, has been unleashed upon the internet—and, like our sister site Racked NY, our first thought was that its layout has a distinct air of the Daily Candy to it. But here, there are no cutesy limericks about face cream or illustrations of girls with big sunglasses riding bikes. Instead, we find signature catchphrases ("I DIE", without wasting any time, is planted right at the end of the first paragraph); a slightly comical headshot of Zoe in floppy hat and fingerless gloves, gazing heroically into the distance; and genius tips for the more clueless in the crowd (Wear these leopard-print Brian Atwood platforms—or their budget alternatives— with jeans! Or a black dress!). Pretty much what we expected, then, but if even a small chunk of her millions of fans end up subscribing, it'll have been something of a coup for the stylist extraordinaire. After all, with that QVC product line launching any minute now, all exposure is golden.
