As we reported a few weeks ago, Teen Vogue is getting ready to unleash its "Haute Spot" concept boutique upon South Coast Plaza. We've received more news regarding its launch weekend, which includes a screening of behind-the-scenes Vogue doc The September Issue on Sunday, September 6 at 3pm—nearly a week before it's released in local cinemas (we suggest an early arrival, since space is limited).
Other festivities for the holiday weekend include the official launch party at 2pm on Saturday, September 5, featuring appearances by the cast of the new Fame movie and a back-to-school fashion show filled with pieces from around the mall (everything from Roxy and Nike to YSL, Gucci and Burberry—hey, this is Orange County). Then, on Monday, September 7 (and every Monday after that), the magazine will be hosting a model casting at 4pm, giving those over 13 a chance to appear in an upcoming issue.
On top of the big events, the shop will boast a beauty and fragrance bar, complementary makeover stations, "trend closets" with hand-picked pieces from the South Coast Plaza stores, free style consultations, an HP internet lounge (with computers for sale), and a one-year subscription to Teen Vogue with purchase, with further events being announced through the closing date of September 27. If only we were in high school again....
