Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's not just the Eastside kids' clothing shops that are facing tough times—a tipster notified us that Eden's Green Closet, a Venice boutique that we profiled last year, is set to close its doors in about two weeks time. New children's garb is currently 40% off, while used clothing and toys have been marked down by 25% and 20%, respectively. Discounts will increase over the next few weeks, with more items being added to $5 and $1 bins every few days— an extremely detailed schedule is currently posted on the shop's blog. [Racked Inbox]
