Discontinued: Some Odd Rubies Bids Adieu to LA

Sad news from Blackburn and Sweetzer, which reports that Some Odd Rubies will be packing their remastered vintage frocks and leaving LA in about a month. They boutique has only been in this space for about a year, before which it occupied a storefront on Hillhurst Ave. in Los Feliz (the current site of Steven Alan Outpost).

Per B+S: "Today, co-owner Odessa Whitmire confirmed that SOR is restructuring a bit—Whitmire’s moving back to NYC and the LA outpost...will close, likely on October 1. SOR’s NYC boutique, which opened six-and-a-half years ago, will remain open." This is the second New York-based shop that's left West 3rd Street—and LA as a whole—in recent months, preceeded by Pixie Market in March.
