RackedWire: The Official Fashion's Night Out PSA; Pizza Parties Are The New Black

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

EVERYWHERE—Apparently, the plight of the fashion industry ranks right up there with teen pregnancy and drunk driving in the "requires Public Service Announcement" stakes—and, since we don't think LA will be getting its own TV spot, we present the PSA for Fashion's Night Out NYC. While they had us at Diddy's sweet dance moves, we have to ask the same question as our colleagues at Racked NY—do you think this will get New Yorkers out and spending money? [RackedWire]

ECHO PARK: Over on the Eastside, art-driven t-shirt label Blood is the New Black is making all sorts of moves. Not only are they relocating to a new office (1232 W. Sunset, Echo Park), but they've also just printed the first issue of a new mini-magazine. To celebrate, they're throwing a pizza party Thursday August 27, from 7pm to 10pm (although the pizza is reportedly only sticking around until 8:30). There will also be a mini-art show, featuring work by Jesse Spears, Cali DeWitt, Andrea Shear, Patrick Jilbert, Travis Millard, Hannah Stouffer and Bryan Ray Turcotte. And, of course, there will be beer.
